Effect of 5-MF and 2'-MF on caspase-8 and -3 activities in MOLT-4 cells. Caspase-8 activity was measured in 5-MF- (A) and 2'-MF- (B) treated cells for various times in the presence or absence of TRAIL for 24 h. The IETD-AFC substrate was cleaved and produced fluorescence. Caspase-3 activity was measured in 5-MF- (C) and 2'-MF- (D) treated cells for various times and with or without TRAIL for 24 h. The DEVD-AFC substrate was used.
